Lamentations

 Lamentations

Today is Good Friday, the day we remember and lament Jesus' death. We call it "good" because Jesus' death isn't only a time for grief, but hope too. In his death, our sins die and eternal mercy is secured.
As a way to engage with this somber day, watch our new video on the book of Lamentations.
Lamentations is like a eulogy. But instead of mourning a loved one's passing, this book laments over the death of Israel and her temple. The mourners admit they are responsible for Israel's demise and grieve the possibility that they have been utterly rejected by God.
But in the middle of their grief, there is a message of hope–God's mercies are new every morning!
