HOW RIGHTEOUSNESS IS BETTER THAN WICKEDNESS
Proverbs 10:6
“Blessings crown the head of the righteous, but violence
overwhelms the mouth of the wicked.” Proverbs 10:6, 7 (NIV)
- Unrighteousness & Wickedness Rarely “Pays off.”
“...the wicked have their fill of trouble.” Proverbs 12:21
Misfortune pursues the sinner, but prosperity is the reward
of the righteous. Proverbs 13:21
- Righteousness usually “Pays Off” in this Life.
“...Wicked men are overthrown and are no more, but the house
of the righteous stands firm...” Proverbs 12:5-8”
- For God’s People
“...The righteous will never be uprooted...” Proverbs
10:28-30
- For God’s children in righteous Families
The house of the righteous contains great treasure, but the
income of the wicked brings them trouble. Proverbs 15:6
The righteous man leads a blameless life; blessed are his
children after him. Proverbs 20:7
- For Good People
“A good man obtains favor from the LORD...” Proverbs 12:2, 3
- For Government & Country
Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a disgrace to any
people. Proverbs 14:34
- Righteousness Always “Pays Off” in the End.
“...The righteousness of the upright delivers them, ... When
a wicked man dies, his hope perishes...” Proverbs 11:5-10, 18-20
In the way of righteousness there is life; along that path
is immortality. Proverbs 12:28
“God mad him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him
we might become the righteousness of God.” 2 Corinthians 5:21
